Idea submission and IP terms

Service: Studio Floor by CasinoHub · Operated by CasinoHub · Last updated 6 October 2026

In short: your idea stays yours until you sign a deal. A studio may only evaluate it. A public card gives no studio any exclusivity. Idea Lab cards are confidential both ways. Every card is timestamped and hashed as proof of who pitched what, and when. Pitching is free. Version 1.

1. What these terms cover

These terms apply to every idea card you pitch on the Studio Floor (casinohub.app/floor): general pitches, pitches to an Idea Challenge and pitches inside an Idea Lab. They sit alongside the Studio Floor Terms and community rules. The Studio Floor is run by CasinoHub; studios are the slot game companies with a verified space on it.

You accept these terms each time you pitch a card, and the version you accepted is stored with that card.

2. You keep your idea

Pitching a card does not transfer any ownership or rights in your idea to a studio or to CasinoHub. You remain the owner of whatever rights you have in it until you sign a deal for it through the Studio Floor.

A deal transfers or licenses only what the signed contract says, for the price it states. Nothing else, including shortlisting, comments or a contest win, transfers your rights.

3. What a studio may do: evaluate only

By pitching to a studio (directly, in its Idea Challenge or in its Idea Lab) you give that studio a free, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to read your card, discuss it inside its own team, compare it with other pitches and decide whether to shortlist it, take an option on it or offer a deal.

The studio may not build, publish, sell or otherwise use your idea, in whole or in recognisable part, without a signed deal with you. The evaluation licence ends when you withdraw the card, unless an option or deal has already been agreed.

4. Public ideas carry no exclusivity

A public card can be read by anyone. Studios work with many similar themes and mechanics, and may already be developing, or later develop on their own, something similar to your card. A public card does not stop any studio from doing that, and it does not give any one studio a right to your idea over another.

You may pitch the same idea to several studios. Only an option (an exclusive evaluation window a studio pays you for) or a signed deal creates exclusivity, and only for its term.

5. Options, deals and payouts

A studio may offer to take an option on a shortlisted card: it pays a fee for an exclusive window (60 days unless stated otherwise in the offer) in which only it may evaluate the idea and negotiate a deal. You decide whether to accept.

A deal is a written contract between you and the studio, signed on the Studio Floor, for a flat buyout and a launch bonus, with optional milestone payments. There is no revenue share in the current version.

Studios pay players directly through our payments partner, or off-platform where both sides confirm the payment. CasinoHub never holds your money. CasinoHub's success fee on deals is charged as set out in the Studio terms.

6. Idea Lab cards are confidential

Cards pitched inside an Idea Lab are visible only to the lab's members and the studio's team, under mutual confidentiality. The Idea Lab confidentiality terms apply on top of these terms. Ownership works exactly as for public cards.

7. Proof: timestamp and content hash

When you pitch, the Studio Floor records the exact time and computes a sha256 hash over every field of the card, the hash of your sketch file, your account and that time. The card can't be edited afterwards; a change means a new card with a new hash and a new time.

Anyone can check a public card's hash on the verify page. For a card that is no longer public, the verify page still confirms that the hash was recorded and when, without showing its contents. The hash is evidence of what was pitched and when; it is not a registration of intellectual property rights.

8. What you promise

The card is your own work, or you have the right to share it. It does not contain anyone else's confidential information, trade secrets or personal data.

It is about game design. It contains no links to casinos, no bonus codes or promotions, and nothing that would require anyone to buy, deposit or wager. Reference links are for inspiration only.

9. Withdrawing a card

You can withdraw a card while it is pitched or shortlisted. It then leaves public view (or the lab), the studio's evaluation licence ends and its hash and time stay on record as your proof. Withdrawing does not undo an option or deal you already accepted.

10. Moderation

CasinoHub moderators may remove a card or comment that breaks the community rules or these terms. A removed card keeps its hash and time on record. Studios may hide comments in their own space.

11. Free, with no cash value

Pitching, voting and commenting are free. Reputation you earn for ideas (pitching, being shortlisted) has no cash value, can't be bought, sold or transferred, and only unlocks Floor features.

12. Deleting your account

If you delete your Studio Floor account, your cards stay on the Floor without your name or account (studios may hold options or deals on them, and the hash remains proof of when they were pitched). The hashed text, which contains your account id, is removed with your account.

13. Changes and contact

If these terms change, the new version applies to cards pitched after the change; each card keeps the version accepted with it. These terms are not legal advice. Questions: contact@casinohub.app.
