Studio terms: deals and fees

Service: Studio Floor by CasinoHub · Operated by CasinoHub · Last updated 6 October 2026

Studios can option and buy players' ideas on the Studio Floor. The player keeps the idea until the buyout is paid in full. Money goes straight from the studio to the player; CasinoHub never holds it. CasinoHub's success fee (12%) is paid by the studio on top and is never taken from the player.

1. Who these terms are for

These terms apply to verified studios (companies that design casino games) when they make option or deal offers on the Studio Floor, pay players, or pay contest prizes. They add to the Studio Floor community rules and, for Studio Pro, the Studio Pro terms.

Offers, signatures and payments are made by the studio's lead or a producer, signed in with their CasinoHub account. The person signing confirms they may bind the studio.

2. Verification and the Official badge

A studio gets a space on the Studio Floor only after CasinoHub verifies it. To apply, a person at the studio signs in with a CasinoHub account and gives the studio's website, their role, and the studio's licence or supplier registration (for example the Malta Gaming Authority or UK Gambling Commission public register). They confirm a work email at the studio's own domain with a one-time code; personal mailboxes are not accepted. A CasinoHub admin then checks the register entry and the website by hand.

Once approved, the applicant holds the studio lead seat. Posts from the studio's team carry the Official badge, and only the team can open threads in the studio's space. CasinoHub may pause verification at any time if the details stop being accurate or these terms are broken; the space stays readable, but the badge and thread creation are switched off until it is restored.

3. Team seats

The studio lead invites teammates by email to a seat: game designer, community manager, producer or studio team. An invite can only be accepted by a CasinoHub account using the invited email address. The lead can change seats and titles and remove members; seat titles appear next to the Official badge. The studio is responsible for what its team posts and for removing people who leave the company.

4. Studio spaces are B2B

Studios talk about their games, not about where to gamble. Studio posts and threads may not contain casino bonus or promo codes, deposit, welcome or other operator offers, invitations to play for real money, affiliate or tracking links, or links to casinos and sportsbooks. These are blocked automatically when posting. Links to the studio's own website are always allowed.

Demo (play-for-fun) links are allowed. Contests and events on the Floor are free to enter and never require a purchase, deposit or wager, and they respect the excluded regions set by CasinoHub.

Studios may not offer anything in return for reviews, ratings, votes or reactions, or ask players to change or remove them.

5. Moderating your own space

The studio lead and community managers may hide player posts in their own space when they break the community rules, and must give a reason, which the author receives. They may not hide reviews of the studio's own games, act outside their space, or restrict accounts: those decisions belong to CasinoHub's Floor moderators. Every moderation action is logged and visible to CasinoHub.

6. Options

An option is offered on an idea the studio has shortlisted. It buys an exclusive window to evaluate the idea, for an option fee the studio chooses.

The window is 60 days unless the offer says otherwise (7 to 365 days). It starts when the player has received the option fee, not when the offer is made.

During the window the studio may use the idea internally to decide whether to buy it, and nothing else. It may not produce, release or market a game based on the idea. The player may not sell or offer the idea to anyone else.

The player answers within 14 days. If the studio does not pay the option fee within 14 days of the player signing, the player may end the option. The studio may release an option early; the fee is not refunded.

While an idea is under option, the Floor shows it as "under option" publicly, without any terms.

7. Buying an idea

During the window the studio may offer to buy the idea with an idea purchase agreement. Version 1 deals have a flat buyout, an optional launch bonus and optional milestone payments. There is no revenue share and there are no royalties.

The buyout is due when both parties have signed. The rights in the idea pass to the studio only when the player has received the buyout in full. If the buyout is not paid within 30 days of signing, the player may end the agreement.

Launch bonuses and milestones are paid within 30 days of being reached. The studio marks them as reached on the Floor.

A deal offer must be signed before the option window ends. If the window ends without a signed deal, the option lapses and the idea is free again.

8. Contracts and signatures

Every offer generates a standard agreement from the parties, a snapshot of the idea card with its content hash and pitch time, and the money terms. Both parties sign by typing their full legal name.

For each signature the Floor records who signed, when, from which IP address and browser, and the SHA-256 of the exact text. Each party can read and print its agreements from the deal page.

Agreements are between the studio and the player. CasinoHub is not a party, except for its success fee.

9. How money moves

CasinoHub never receives or holds deal or prize money.

Card payments: when the player has set up payouts with Stripe, the studio pays through Stripe Checkout and the payment is made directly on the player's own Stripe account. CasinoHub's success fee is a separate line on the same payment and is the only part that reaches CasinoHub.

Manual payments: when card payment is not available, the studio pays the player directly (for example by bank transfer), records the payment reference on the Floor, and the player confirms receipt. CasinoHub then invoices the studio for its success fee.

Each party is responsible for its own taxes. Payment providers may charge their own fees on their customers' accounts.

10. CasinoHub's success fee

CasinoHub charges a success fee of 12% on every amount a studio pays a player under a Floor deal (option fee, buyout, launch bonus, milestones). The rate in force when an offer is made is written into that offer's agreement and applies to it.

The fee is the studio's cost. It is added on top of what the player receives and is never deducted from the player's payment.

With card payments the fee is collected automatically as part of the payment. With manual payments CasinoHub issues an invoice once the player confirms receipt; it is payable within the period shown on the invoice.

Cash prizes in Floor contests carry a fee of 0%, paid by the studio on top in the same way. Contests are always free to enter.

11. Conduct

Studios use the Floor to work with players on game ideas. No casino bonus codes, operator promotions, or real-money play may be offered in a studio's space or through a deal.

Studios must not use an idea outside the rights an agreement gives them, or contact a player to get around the Floor's agreements or fees for an idea first seen on the Floor.

CasinoHub may pause a studio's verification or cancel an open deal that breaks these terms; it tells both parties why. A sold idea's transferred rights are not affected by a cancellation on the Floor.
